SRCA Drag Strip, Great Bend, Overall, about what you’d expect at Motorsports Park). My
Kansas. Bathrooms are good a small drag strip. impression was from an NHRA

This track is where the very first
NHRA Nationals was held in 1955.
Events are still run by the SRCA
– the Sunflower Rod and Custom
Association, originally formed in
1954.)
Eddyville Raceway,
Oskaloosa, Iowa. Bathroom
facilities are decent. Love the
showers! Makes a weekend race
much more enjoyable. Not that
they are fancy, but they’re clean
and have plenty of hot water.
Concessions are very good. I recall
them having pretty decent chicken
strips. I give it a 9. Restrooms get
an 8.
Irwindale Raceway, Irwindale,
California. The food was all In-N-
Out burger chain grub: a Double
Double, with their fries and a
shake... always tasted the same as
at their stores. Best ever. Rated a 9
(I don’t give 10’s).
Beech Bend Raceway, Bowling
Green, Kentucky. That place
has the best restrooms - bar none!
A/C, plenty of urinals and enclosed
toilets. Great place to hang and
cool off.
North Star Dragway in
Denton, Texas. Hamburgers
and Hot Dogs - not too expensive,
mediocre quality. Drinks kinda
pricey. Food quality is a 4.
Suggestion: Go for the racing,
not the food and drink. Restroom
troughs and stalls - Large enough,
not too dirty. Sinks have enough
paper towels. Clean enough.
